As a resource specialist in an elementary school setting, you'll play a vital part in supporting students with diverse learning needs, fostering growth and inclusion within a vibrant educational community. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Previous experience working with resource programs or similar caseloads preferred Strong knowledge of IEP process, documentation, and implementation Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Commitment to creating a supportive, student-focused atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines Work directly with elementary students requiring resource support, providing tailored instruction and interventions Collaborate with staff and families to monitor and communicate student progress Adapt general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with learning differences Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture Maintain accurate records of student evaluations, plans, and progress updates
