Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification required Experience or strong interest in working within a self-contained classroom Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent classroom management and communication skills Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment Commitment to promoting inclusivity and student growth
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students in a self-contained classroom Develop and tailor lesson plans that align with IEP goals and state standards Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families to coordinate student care Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to meet evolving educational needs Create a safe, positive, and respectful classroom culture Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based activities as needed As a valued contributor, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey of your students.
