Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs in an elementary school adaptive separate setting located in Lincolnton, NC. This full-time contractual position spans the current school year and focuses on supporting a caseload of 8 students. Work collaboratively within two schools and a supportive environment that includes supervisory personnel such as paraprofessionals or other aides.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized educational plans for students with special needs, ensuring measurable progress in academic and functional skills Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to adapt teaching strategies appropriate for each student's developmental level Maintain detailed records of student progress and participate in team meetings to review and adjust goals Uphold compliance with state and federal special education guidelines and school policies Engage with families and caregivers to support student success and promote positive communicationPreferred Qualifications:
Valid North Carolina Special Education Teaching license Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings, particularly adaptive separate classrooms Ability to effectively manage a caseload of 8 students with diverse learning needs Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation Familiarity with state special education regulations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processesLocation:
