Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher - Telehealth Job Type Contract A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth services. This role involves providing specialized educational support to students with visual impairments through virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and tailored learning experiences.
Location:
Pittsboro, NC Schedule:
Full-time, 5 days per week Contract position
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive instruction and support to students with visual impairments via telehealth systems. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing the specific needs of visually impaired students. Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to facilitate effective educational outcomes. Utilize technology to enhance learning and maintain clear communication with students and stakeholders. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI). Experience in delivering telehealth services or remote instruction preferred. Strong understanding of assistive technologies and adaptive learning strategies. Effective communication and organizational skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
