Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract This opportunity is for Special Education Teachers licensed to teach Exceptional Children (EC) in North Carolina. Four full-time EC Resource teaching positions are available, located onsite within a school setting in Halifax, NC. The contract runs from July 27, 2026, through July 2, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek.

Positions include:

2 Elementary EC Resource Teachers 1 Middle School EC Resource Teacher 1 High School EC Resource Teacher Key qualifications and experience: Valid North Carolina Exceptional Children teaching certification Experience working in special education resource settings preferred Strong ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide tailored instruction Effective collaboration skills with general education staff and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment Primary responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students' IEPs in elementary, middle, or high school resource classrooms Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and school personnel Support positive student behavior and social-emotional development The role offers valuable experience working directly with students requiring exceptional education services in a supportive, onsite school environment.
