Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (applicable to middle school level) Proven experience or knowledge working in a resource classroom setting Familiarity with IEP case management and progress monitoring Patience, dedication, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff Ability to adapt instructional techniques and support to meet a variety of student needs Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving and classroom management
Core Responsibilities:
Provide instruction and interventions tailored for students with varying needs in a resource-class environment Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans in accordance with state and federal regulations Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster student growth Collect and analyze data to inform instructional decisions, measure student progress, and update IEPs Foster an inclusive, encouraging classroom culture where all students feel valued and empowered
