Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A new contract opportunity is available for a skilled Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This role is perfect for educators who are dedicated to supporting students with exceptional needs in a self-contained classroom environment. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve their individual goals and reach their fullest potential with personalized instruction and compassionate guidance.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or a related field Valid teaching certification in Special Education Previous experience teaching in a self-contained classroom preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and organizational skills Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to diverse learning abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's strengths and needs Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on data Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress toward goals Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promotes academic and social growth Adhere to all federal, state, and local requirements for special education services Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding student progress and instructional needs This contract position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
