Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Restorative Behavior Support Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year to support students during moments of behavioral escalation, implement behavior intervention strategies, and facilitate restorative practices. The ideal candidate is skilled at building relationships, remaining calm under pressure, and supporting students with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs. Responsibilities Support students during periods of behavioral escalation. Implement behavior intervention strategies. Facilitate restorative conversations to help repair relationships between students, peers, and adults. Help manage and facilitate a designated restorative space. Meet students where they are developmentally, emotionally, and behaviorally. Collaborate with school staff to support student success. Make quick, informed decisions to support student safety and well-being. Model and support self-regulation and co-regulation strategies.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral sciences, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and as part of a team. Willingness to learn restorative practices .
Preferred:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. Experience with or familiarity with restorative practices in an elementary school setting. Schedule 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, school days
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
