Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification, or eligibility for certification before the start date Experience with elementary and/or middle school special education, preferably in resource classroom settings Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent classroom management techniques tailored to students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure student success Commitment to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction

What You'll Do:

Provide direct instruction and support to students within resource classrooms at both the elementary and middle school levels Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student-specific goals and learning styles Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers to promote integration and access to the general curriculum Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, challenges, and successes Maintain timely and accurate documentation and comply with all reporting requirements
