Special Education Teacher in Bellevue, NE BlazerJobs - 3.4 Bellevue, NE Job Details Contract 15 hours ago Qualifications Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting middle school students with severe disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. This onsite-only position provides the chance to make a profound difference in the Bellevue, NE area for the 2026-2027 school year. Work closely with dedicated staff and help foster an environment where every student receives the individualized attention and instruction they deserve.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience with middle school-aged learners, especially within self-contained or high-needs classrooms Strong background working with students who have severe disabilities Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and team members Flexibility, creativity, and resilience when adapting strategies to students' changing needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student Develop, implement, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Foster a safe and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes both academic and social growth Utilize multi-sensory approaches and differentiated instruction to best support each learner Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavior Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to deliver holistic support Actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development This role is a rewarding way to impact young lives while advancing your own skills as a Special Education professional.
