Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary and middle school resource classrooms for the 2026-2027 academic year. This rewarding contract role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to guide and empower students needing specialized support in their educational journey. What you'll bring: Active Special Education teaching certification Previous experience working with elementary or middle school students in a resource or special education setting Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to student needs Confidence in adapting instructional strategies to meet individualized education plans Collaborative mindset for working closely with general education teachers, staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment Your day-to-day responsibilities: Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans and modifications for students with diverse learning needs Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation for IEPs and reports Utilize creative teaching interventions to nurture student growth both academically and socially Work as an active member of a multidisciplinary team—collaborating with educators, paraprofessionals, and support staff Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and guidance to ensure student success Participate in ongoing professional development and compliance-related tasks This is a fantastic chance to expand your skills and positively shape the educational experiences of students from elementary to middle school age.
