Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill development. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence. Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support educational goals by applying behavioral strategies within special education settings and teaching functional skills. Collaborate with supervising clinicians, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions. Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in accordance with medical terminology standards. Engage in ongoing training related to behavior management, medical records management, and medical terminology to enhance service delivery. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work patiently and effectively with individuals with autism or other developmental challenges. Strong data collection skills and attention to detail for tracking progress accurately. Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards related to medical records and patient care. Excellent teaching skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care and support.
