Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity to support elementary students in a dynamic school setting in Franklin, NH, with a contract-based role providing 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who exhibit a range of behaviors, requiring patience, understanding, and effective behavioral strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers by providing individualized support to students during instructional time Implement behavioral interventions under the guidance of teachers and support staff Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment Support students with academic tasks, following lesson plans and adapting as needed Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with school staff regarding behavioral and educational needs Assist with classroom management and organization to promote effective learning

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role, preferably in an elementary school setting Demonstrated skills in managing challenging behaviors and supporting students with diverse needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, students, and families Ability to remain patient and flexible while addressing individual student needs Familiarity with basic educational strategies and behavior intervention techniques
