Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by supporting learners in a welcoming elementary school environment near Franklin, NH. A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed for a full-time contract role in a resource classroom, with opportunities to collaborate closely with a team of passionate educators. This position spans the academic year from August 31, 2026 to June 17, 2026, with potential additional planning days before or after. Hours are approximately 35-37.5 per week, providing consistency and stability for both teacher and students. The caseload is thoughtfully managed, with each of three case managers supporting 15-20 students in grades 1st-4th (Kindergarten responsibilities are already covered). You'll enjoy the support of experienced one-on-one paras in the classrooms and work collaboratively with behavior analysts to deliver individualized interventions and instruction.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification Prior experience in special education, specifically with children in 1st-4th grade Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and needs Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with paras, specialists, and families Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
