Special Ed Teacher for Alternative School Come join our team! SAU #23 is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to work in our Alternative Middle and High School programs (French Pond and King Street) in Woodsville, NH. Candidates should possess an NH Special Educator Certification or eligibility. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues and provide classroom instruction to students enrolled at French Pond School and King Street School, our alternative education programs that serve youth in grades 5-12.
QUALIFICATIONS
?Experience working with at-risk youth and the ability to develop trusting relationships ?Collaborate with French Pond and King Street team ?Develop and implement small group instruction for students with and without disabilities ?Assess student progress using multiple formal and informal tools and progress monitoring tools ?Utilize differentiated instructional techniques to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of all students ?Plan daily classroom instructional activities ?Maintain student records and files in a confidential manner ?Experience with behavior intervention/management ?Trained in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) or willing to become trained ?Background in teaching English or Math a plus
