Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact this school year by supporting students in a dynamic special education environment. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work in a resource classroom with elementary students from 1st through 4th grade. You'll collaborate with a supportive team of fellow educators, case managers, behavior analysts, and dedicated paraprofessionals to foster both academic and personal growth among an engaging group of young learners.
Key Qualifications:
Valid New Hampshire Educator Teaching Certification required Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, specifically with 1st-4th grade students Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Skilled in differentiating instruction for diverse learning needs Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Committed to cultivating an inclusive and positive classroom environment
Your Role Will Involve:
Serving as case manager for a caseload of approximately 15-20 students Planning and delivering tailored lessons in a resource setting, with occasional classroom push-ins Collaborating with co-case managers, paraprofessionals, and behavior analysts to support students' learning and behavioral goals Managing comprehensive documentation and IEP compliance Engaging with parents and guardians to support student success Participating in pre- and post-planning days as needed This contract runs from August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027, offering consistent hours, a collaborative staff culture, and the reward of directly shaping students' progress.
