ABOUT US
Mill Falls is the first public Montessori School in the state of New Hampshire. The School opened in Manchester in the fall of 2012. This state-issued charter school is open to all NH students via our annual public lottery. Mill Falls provides a full elementary program, currently serving 168 students in grades K-6. SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS
Mill Falls is seeking Special Education Teachers to work with students in our public Montessori school environment with educational and behavioral challenges. Our Special Education Teachers provide specialized instruction for our students with disabilities, enabling those students to benefit from our general education Montessori curriculum to the greatest extent possible. Our Special Education Team is comprised of other Special Educators and our Student Support Coordinator, as well as our Educational Program Director, who also holds a masters in Special Education. Responsibilities of our Special Educators include instruction to assigned students by implementing IEPs; preparation of academic materials for students following approved curricula; special education case management including collaboration in preparation of IEPs, reports, assessments, and participating team meetings. Our Special Education Team works collaboratively with our classroom teachers in support of our students' academic, personal and social achievement, safety and physical well-being.

Required:
Bachelor's degree; NH Special Education Certification K-12; Experience with Elementary School aged students with disabilities; A demonstrated willingness to collaboratively work alongside trained Montessori educators and with our innovative methodology; Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administrators, and parents; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Appreciation for student diversity including learning, experiential, cultural & economic differences; An open mind and sense of humor.
Preferred:
Master's degree; Trained in research based teaching methods such as OG and Wilson.
