Aug 20, 2026 Job Description The Jaffrey Rindge Cooperative School District is seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of support or resource room teacher for social-emotional learning needs at the elementary school level. Desired candidates will hold elementary education certification as well as general special education certification or the ability to acquire a statement of eligibility to gain this certification. Collaboration with general education teachers and special education teachers is key to a successful model. Small special education case management is required. Desired candidates will demonstrate an understanding of differentiation practices, teamwork, and collaboration. A background and/or passion for school adjustment, counseling, or trauma-informed support is valuable.
A NH DOE
certificate to teach K-12 General Special Education certification is required, or the ability to acquire a Statement of Eligibility from the NH DOE. We are a forward-thinking, visionary district looking for qualified, passionate professionals to join our team.
Create:
Accurate and complete student records, reports, and paperwork as required by District, state and federal mandates. Safe, secure, student-centered learning environments. Clear communication of expectations for academic and behavioral achievement. Developmentally appropriate lesson materials to support student success. Collegial relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators, acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner. Written, quarterly (or as appropriate by IEP but not less than as often as regular notification of student academic performance) progress reports on all assigned students and distributed to the appropriate team members.
Collaborate/Facilitate:
Implementation of IEPs with regular education instructors. Regularly with evaluators, service providers, classroom teachers, parents, administration, and Local Educational Agents to create appropriate IEPs. With parents regarding student progress at regular intervals. Rapport with students and colleagues. With behavioral supports to develop effective intervention plans. Meetings as appropriate to meet Individuals with Disabilities Education Act requirements and support student achievement. Consistent feedback to students. Report incidents promptly to maintain student, staff, and school safety to adhere to District, state and federal mandates. In staff meetings, District professional development, and Professional Learning Communities as appropriate.
Manage:
Complete paperwork and reports within mandated timelines. Data for progress monitoring, using a variety of resources and data tools. Student behavioral needs to maintain safe, productive learning environments. Safe work/educational spaces, integrate training provided by District in appropriate de-escalation techniques. Prompt responses to inquiries from all sources. Participate in and implement professional development as mandated by District and state licensure to maintain state certification. District policies and procedures, applicable state and federal laws to ensure compliance and professionalism. Daily assignments for instructional associates. Consistent feedback and direction/guidance to assigned instructional associates. Support in input of evaluative process for instructional associates. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services and/or Building Principal.
