Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Special Education Teachers are needed for an exciting contract opportunity supporting students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Openings include three positions for resource room and grade-level support, as well as one specialized role focused on a mental health and behavior self-contained program. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid New Hampshire Teaching License is required Previous experience working in special education within a school setting preferred Ability to support students in resource rooms or in program-specific environments for mental health and behavioral needs Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families Commitment to inclusive education and individualized instruction
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Provide instructional support in either resource, grade-level, or mental health/behavior self-contained classroom settings Monitor and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment for all learners Collaborate with educators, specialists, and support staff to meet each student's academic and social-emotional goals Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding progress and strategies This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 32.5-35 hours weekly, aligned with school hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM throughout the school year, beginning in September 2026 and concluding in June 2027.
