Job Description

About Allegro School Allegro School, located in Cedar Knolls, NJ, is a dedicated institution specialized in providing exceptional education and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and positive programming techniques, we strive to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for our students. Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
  • Utilize ABA techniques and positive programming to promote students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Provide direct instruction to students in various subjects, adapting materials and methods to meet their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. A BCBA will be assigned to your classroom as support.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, making data-driven decisions to adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and any concerns. Occasional home visits may be included.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and ABA. Qualifications
  • Valid NJ certification as a Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD). Provisional certification is acceptable.
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of ABA techniques and positive programming preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth and learning.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
