This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for math, develop engaging lesson plans, and support students' academic growth in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to nurturing young learners' understanding of mathematical concepts. Responsibilities Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and discrete math tailored to middle school students' needs. Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with educational standards and promote critical thinking. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Utilize learning technology and innovative instructional strategies to enhance classroom engagement and understanding. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to student success. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational best practices. Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, fostering their curiosity and confidence in math. Requirements Prior classroom experience teaching middle school students with a strong background in math subjects such as algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, discrete math, and differential equations. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design. Experience working with diverse learners, including those requiring special education accommodations or behavioral management strategies. Proficiency with learning technology tools and educational software to facilitate effective teaching. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues. A bachelor's degree in mathematics, education or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred. Laboratory or research laboratory experience related to scientific research or biology (such as genetics or microbiology) is a plus but not required.
