Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience teaching high school students (grades 9-12) preferred Strong background in math or science instruction Ability to develop and modify individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues Capable of handling a varied caseload and adapting to diverse learning needs
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction in math or science to students with a range of learning needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for each student, ensuring legal compliance and measurable progress Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to maximize student integration and achievement Utilize positive behavior supports and adaptive teaching materials Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student Engage regularly with families to foster support and communication
