We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pruning & Plant Care Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for the detailed care, pruning, and health management of ornamental trees, shrubs, hedges, and landscape plantings on commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate has a strong horticultural background, understands proper pruning techniques, and takes pride in maintaining landscapes at the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on field position focused on plant health, aesthetics, and long-term landscape sustainability. Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed pruning of ornamental trees, shrubs, hedges, and perennials
  • Shape and maintain plant material to promote healthy growth and appearance
  • Monitor and diagnose plant health issues including pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
  • Apply horticultural best practices for pruning, fertilization, watering, and seasonal plant care
  • Perform seasonal cutbacks, deadheading, thinning, rejuvenation pruning, and specialty pruning
  • Assist with integrated pest management and treatment recommendations
  • Maintain planting beds and ornamental landscape areas to high presentation standards
  • Identify opportunities for landscape improvements and plant replacements
  • Safely operate pruning equipment, hedge trimmers, hand tools, and related landscape equipment
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding property conditions and recommendations
  • Assist with seasonal landscape maintenance operations as needed Qualifications
  • Previous experience in horticulture, estate gardening, or landscape plant care preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pruning techniques and plant identification
  • Understanding of ornamental tree and shrub care
  • Ability to identify common pests, diseases, and plant stress issues
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to safely use pruning and landscape equipment
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Horticulture certifications or pesticide licenses are a plus What We Offer
