There are no limits to what our children can achieve. This opportunity is a contracted position beginning August 2026- June 2027 and is a partnership with Union Public Schools Interviews begin the week of June 15 -August 14, keeping your present teaching schedule in mind to honor your time P3 Certification A minimum of 1+year experience with children in a Pre-K classroom is a requirement. As a P-3 Teacher, your primary responsibility is to teach our scholars fundamental concepts appropriate for their age and next steps, beyond identifying numbers and letters. Effectively leading and managing classroom structure, patience, compassion, and energy are just a few qualities we look for. You are capable of modeling behaviors, inspiring, encouraging, and developing young children, each of whom will have different abilities, challenges, and personalities. Your creative mindset, partnered with excellent communication and the ability to plan and execute lessons that are fun, memorable and innovative will result in consistent desired learning outcomes. Your natural enthusiasm, positive attitude, energetic, compassionate and trustworthy nature will work with children and their family. A minimum of 1+year experience with children in a classroom is a requirement. Our P3 Teacher duties include but are not limited to: Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students Evaluate student progress on a regular basis and prepare progress reports Instruct students in academic elements as specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures Provides individual as needed, small and large group instruction, as appropriate, to adapt the curriculum to the needs of P3 children with varying intellectual and special abilities Establishes and maintains standards of behavior with others and within the class setting to provide a safe, fun learning environment Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction Plans and coordinates the work of P3 teacher assistant Identifies children's needs and works with P3 Assistant and Director to assess and support children's learning opportunities Communicates and maintains open lines of communication with warmth, respect and professionalism with families, children and team Your contracted schedule will be: August 24 - June 2027 8 AM - 3:30 PM 188 days, mirroring the local Union School calendar Benefits include: Health Insurance 401k Paid Vacation [based on local Union School schedule] We look forward to hearing from you!RESUMES WITHOUT COVER LETTERS SPECIFIC TO THIS ROLE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
