Special Ed Teacher - Alamogordo, New Mexico

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. This position involves providing specialized instructional support within a resource room, working closely alongside paraprofessional staff to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements. Collaborate with paraprofessionals to provide targeted support and interventions in the resource room. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary to achieve educational goals. Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and support staff to foster a collaborative learning environment. Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations and school policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education Teaching certification/licensure. Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting. Proficiency in designing and delivering individualized instruction. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks related to special education services.
