Licensure:
Valid NM Public Education Department (NMPED) Special Education License (PreK-12 or relevant endorsements). •
Education:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. •
Background:
Prior experience in elementary special education or clinical settings is heavily preferred. Core Responsibilities •
IEP Management:
Write, review, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations. •
Specialized Instruction:
Design and deliver differentiated, one-on-one, or small-group instruction tailored to cognitive, motor, language, and socio-emotional needs. •
Collaboration:
Partner with general education teachers, speech therapists, and support staff to ensure inclusion and seamless curriculum modification. •
Progress Monitoring:
Track student growth and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on IEP goal progress. •
Behavior Management:
Implement positive behavior intervention strategies (PBIS) and individualized behavior plans. •
Student Care:
Assist students with daily needs, which may occasionally include motor assistance, feeding, or personal hygiene, depending on the specific program or classroom structure You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.
