Our district has a 4 day work week with Mondays off and we pay 80% of benefits for employees. We have small class sizes and encourage innovation and outside the box strategies. The Eagle Nest campus truly works a family atmosphere. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with grade-level standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools Design engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, creative writing, journalism, and analytical skills while integrating research and library services Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques and classroom management best practices Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, including standardized testing preparation, and provide constructive feedback Mentor students individually or in small groups to support literacy education, tutoring needs, or special education accommodations Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to enhance educational quality Engage in ongoing professional development related to linguistics, higher education teaching methods, Montessori approaches (if applicable), or other relevant educational philosophies Requirements Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred Prior classroom experience teaching middle school students with a strong understanding of classroom management techniques preferred. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, instructional design, and assessment strategies Proficiency in working with learning technology platforms and digital tools to enhance instruction Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and administration Experience with standardized testing preparation and higher education teaching methods is advantageous Ability to mentor students across diverse learning needs including special education or private school environments Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere Join us in shaping the minds of tomorrow by fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
