Position:

Special Education Teacher or Regular Education Teacher to teach special education students Grades 9-UG (1 position) with the assistance of 1 paraprofessional

Funding Source:

Special Education Qualifications:

Valid Nevada teacher's license or substitute license Ability to work with students with mild to severe disabilities Ability to collect data and track progress CPR and First Aid qualified preferred Ability to lift 50 lbs. Assist with toileting needs as necessary

Salary Range:

$41.70 per hour

Job Description:

Implement student goals/objectives as stated on the IEP in order to help students maintain mastered skills throughout the extended summer break.

General Information:

June 12 – 18 and June 22-25, 2026 Students attend June 15 – 18 and June 22 – 25, 2026 June 12th is planning day for teachers 6.5 hours per day (7:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.), students attend 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Location:

Pahrump Valley High School Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently employed as special education teachers by Nye County School District. Preference given those applicants who are CPI Trained.
