This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about building relationships, supporting diverse learners, and helping students succeed in a small, student-centered high school environment. ​ Position Summary The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and case management services to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs and Nevada state requirements. This teacher will collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, families, and administration to ensure students receive appropriate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support in an inclusive and supportive learning environment. ​ Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction aligned to student IEP goals and Nevada Academic Content Standards Serve as a case manager for students with IEPs, including facilitating meetings, maintaining compliance, and monitoring progress toward goals Collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction Support students in developing academic, executive functioning, self-advocacy, and social-emotional skills Use restorative practices to build relationships, address conflict, and support a positive, inclusive classroom culture Monitor student progress and use data to inform instruction and interventions Maintain accurate records related to IEPs, progress reports, attendance, grades, and compliance requirements Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and supports Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Collaborate with counselors, service providers, and administration to support student success Qualifications Valid Nevada teaching license with a Special Education endorsement (required) Knowledge of
IDEA, IEP
