We are looking for an educator who believes in the potential of every child and is committed to creating inclusive learning environments where students receive individualized support while being challenged to achieve at high levels. Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers to plan, modify, and deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs of learners Develop and implement accommodations, modifications, and interventions that support student growth and achievement Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to IEP goals, services, and compliance requirements Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to student success Use data to identify student needs and adjust instruction accordingly Foster a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and self-advocacy Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a collaborative school culture Requirements Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Possess New York State Special Education Certification Have experience working with students with diverse learning needs Demonstrate strong instructional planning and classroom management skills Have knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices Believe in maintaining high expectations while providing appropriate support for students Experience working in urban schools or diverse educational settings is preferred Why Brighter Choice?
