Job Description

The Lake Shore Central School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions: Special Education (All Levels) - 2 Positions Reports to:

The locations will be determined once our in-house bidding is complete. We are seeking dedicated and student-centered Special Education Teachers who demonstrate a strong commitment to collaboration, inclusive practices, and high-quality instruction. The ideal candidates bring meaningful experience working with diverse learners and have a deep understanding of how to design and implement differentiated, evidence-based instructional strategies that promote academic and social-emotional growth. These educators value teamwork and work effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and support staff to ensure cohesive programming and consistent student support. Strong knowledge of executive functioning skills-such as organization, self-regulation, time management, and goal-setting-is essential, along with the ability to explicitly teach and embed these skills into daily instruction. We are looking for reflective practitioners who build positive relationships with students, maintains high expectations, uses data to inform instruction, and fosters an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. These assignments will be a Consultant Teacher or Self-Contained Classroom.
