Special Needs Caregiver Private Residence Child Care - 3.7 Depew, NY Job Details Part-time $18.50 - $20.00 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Qualifications Emotional support for ADL Working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Working with individuals with autism Dressing assistance Developmental disability care assistance Personal grooming assistance Personal transportation assistance Empathy Meal assistance Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced, kind and empathetic individual to care for our almost 10 year old son who is on the Autism Spectrum. This position is part time to start and can shift to full time for the right person. The position is mostly at Dads home in Depew with the occasional request to bring kiddo out to see Mom (about an hour away)- mileage reimbursement include! Our son is developing language and also about 95% potty trained! He sometimes requires verbal prompting! Schedule details : M-F (unless otherwise noted) 6:30-8:30am AND 3:30pm-? (Depending how many hours you'd like up to 30) Morning shift is to get kiddo up and help him get ready for his day. Change his clothing, morning hygiene routine etc. Get him on the bus on time. Drop him off to school if they miss him or if its running too late. (very rare) Evening shift is to get him off the bus (around 4lm) and help with evening routine (putting away his book bag, getting him snacks etc.) You have the ability to stay later if they would like to but do not have to. For his vacation time/days off of school- you will stay with him from 6:30 till 4 and help him with his day (clothing, food, spend time with him etc) Good to know: -You will be trained via People Inc. (paid) -You will have the freedoms to take kiddo out in the community safely -He does NOT have a behavioral plan. He is the sweetest, loving dude..
