Job Description

Clinical Orders Specialist-Home Care/Hospice The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Clinical Orders Specialist with a background in community health, clinical orders, and medical coding to join our team. In this position, the Clinical Orders Specialist will be responsible for timely processing of clinical orders including both the Certified Home Health Agency and Hospice Agency, and processing information from OASIS and Hospice's Health Information System. Working collaboratively with other members of the community health interdisciplinary team, as well as liaising directly with the finance and medical teams, you will oversee timely orders, information management and play a key role on managing coding and billing processes for the agency. Certification in Medical Coding High School Diploma required; college degree in Health Information Management or similar field a plus 2-3 years+ of prior experience working in a Home Care, Hospice or similar community health setting Prior experience/proficiency in NetSmart or another EMR (electronic medical record)
