Job Description

40 hours per week Mon
  • Fri, 7:30 am
  • 3:30 pm) The pay range for this position is 21.
50-23.11 depending on years of prior experience with
NYS OPWDD
programs. Position is based out of the New Directions Day Hab in Garden City but will include daily travel to all Day Habs in Queens and Long island as needed Life's WORC offers a great benefits package, including:

Qualifications:
Minimum two years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Working knowledge of OPWDD regulations High School Diploma required Current SCIP Certification required Valid driver's license required
Responsibilities Include:
Serves as a role model in the implementation of complex behavior support plans. Demonstrates competency in crisis prevention strategies, ABC data collection methods, and positive reinforcement principals. Offers new employee training and guidance specific to behavioral interventions as requested. Possesses an in-depth knowledge of treatment plans, and offers feedback to the Behavior Intervention Specialist regarding enhancement modifications. Assumes a proactive, team oriented role during a crisis situation when implementing behavioral intervention strategies. Assists the Management team in managing crisis situations that may involve the police, emergency services, psychiatric hospital admissions, etc. Ensures proper safety protocols are followed when physical interventions are implemented.
