Mountain Lake Academy is an experiential-based program that works with 36 students in grades 7-12 at a year-round boarding school located in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains. Mountain Lake Academy provides a variety of experiential-based programming for boys in grades 7-12. These experiences include hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, multi-day expeditions, and vocational programming.

What to expect:

As the Special Education Teacher in a 6:1+1 classroom setting. You will play a pivotal role in shaping students' understanding and fostering their love for learning. You will design dynamic lesson plans, deliver effective instruction, and inspire a deeper comprehension of academic concepts. Your commitment to student-centered learning and academic growth will be crucial in ensuring our students' success. Your skills & experience: Relationship and skill building Documentation and time management skills Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families Ability to work in a team environment Participate in school-wide meetings and professional development opportunities What you'll need: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, or related field. Valid New York State driver's license Individuals with the skills, confidence, and experience working with students with disabilities.
