Regional Summer School Teacher (All Content Areas, Including Special Education)

Position Overview CiTi BOCES is seeking certified, student-centered Teachers in all content areas to provide high-quality instruction for Regional Summer School students in grades 9-12. Teachers will deliver targeted, standards-aligned instruction to support student credit recovery, improve foundational skills, and promote successful course completion. We welcome applicants from all 7-12 certification areas, including: English Language Arts Mathematics Science (Living Environment, Earth Science, Chemistry, Physics) Social Studies Also, seeking applications certified in: Special Education Physical Education Responsibilities Provide daily instruction aligned with New York State Learning Standards Support diverse learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans Manage classroom routines and behaviors to ensure a safe, positive learning environment Assess student progress and provide ongoing feedback Maintain accurate attendance and grade records Communicate with administrators and staff regarding student needs Participate in required orientation and training sessions Fulfill all duties associated with summer school procedures, expectations, and timelines

Qualifications Required:

Valid NYS Teaching Certification in the applicable content area

Preferred:

Experience working with at-risk youth Strong skills in differentiation and classroom management Ability to collaborate with colleagues and administrators in a fast-paced environment
