Special Education Certification Full Job Description Job Description:
This is a summer school position from July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026. We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, implementing student IEPs, supporting academic and behavioral needs, and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment in accordance with school policies and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
 Plan and implement developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with student abilities, IEP goals, and state standards.  Differentiate lessons, materials, and assessments to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.  Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support in a structured classroom environment.  Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation related to instruction and IEP implementation.  Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistency of student supports and services.  Participate in school meetings as required.  Serve as a positive role model while upholding school policies, expectations, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
 Valid New York State Teacher Certification in Students with Disabilities or appropriate Special Education certification.  Experience working with students with disabilities strongly preferred.  Knowledge of IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, and behavior support strategies.  Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.  Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to student growth and success.
Salary:
 $241.00 (Daily wage - Per Diem)
