Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role in special education, making a direct impact on student success. This contract position is ideal for educators who thrive in dedicated, one-on-one environments and are passionate about helping every child reach their potential. Beginning on July 6, 2026, you will be part of an Extended School Year (ESY) program, working closely with a 2nd-grade student awaiting classroom placement.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Demonstrated experience with individualized instruction Strong understanding of K-6 developmental and academic needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Patience, adaptability, and commitment to inclusive education
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized educational support to a single student in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate regularly with related service providers, caregivers, and school professionals to tailor interventions Track and report progress, maintaining clear and thorough documentation Foster a supportive and positive learning atmosphere to encourage growth and confidence Adjust instructional strategies as needed, responding to student needs and feedback from the educational team If you are seeking a meaningful role with the chance to provide transformative support, this opportunity offers the perfect setting.
