We are looking for friendly, organized, and adaptable team players that would like to join our family and help make a difference in a child's early development. We are currently in need of a full-time Teacher to work Monday- Friday, 8:30 am- 4:00 pm. The candidate may start during our 6 week Summer Program which begins on July 6, 2026 or for the Fall Program on September 8, 2026. Must possess a MS Degree with New York State Certificate for Students with Disabilities from Birth through 2nd grade. Some responsibilities for our Special Education Teachers are to: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs Design developmentally appropriate academic and non-academic activities for the class Select educational materials and activities that are in line with the student's IEPs Provide instruction in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student Utilize learning technology and assistive devices to support student learning Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a comprehensive educational program Oversee and training teacher assistants Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed Implement behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behavior and social skills development Plan and facilitate physical education activities to promote gross motor skills and overall physical well-being Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters a sense of belonging for all students Write progress reports/annual reviews
Requirements:
Valid NYS Special Education Certification Students with Disabilities from Birth to 2nd grade Knowledge of childhood development and early intervention strategies Familiarity with learning technology and assistive devices used in special education settings Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with behavioral challenges Strong organizational and time management skills for effective lesson planning and documentation Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
