Full-time Special Education Teacher SALARY:
$54,308.70 to $59,847.63 PLUS

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, speech delays, and other developmental challenges. This role involves creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs. Provide instruction in various subjects while adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. Utilize behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior and support students in overcoming challenges. Collaborate with other educators and specialists, including speech therapists and physical education instructors, to enhance the educational experience for students. Monitor student progress through assessments and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages participation and fosters a love of learning. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education. Requirements Bachelor's Degree Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong skills in behavior management and literacy education techniques. Knowledge of deaf education or speech therapy practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
