Elwood Davis Road, Liverpool, NY Position Overview:
The NYSED Mid-State Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (RBERN) is seeking a knowledgeable educator to serve as a Resource Specialist. This position involves providing technical assistance, professional learning to educators and leaders in the education of English Language Learners (ELLs) and Multilingual Learners (MLs) across PreK-12.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver high-quality, research-based professional development on ENL, bilingual education, World Language and equity-focused instructional practices.
  • Provide targeted technical assistance aligned with CR Part 154, the CRSE Framework, and NYSED priorities.
  • Support districts in implementing effective instructional models and meeting state and federal requirements for ELLs.
  • Participate in statewide and regional initiatives, planning processes, and collaborative networks.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, resources, and data-informed action plans that support improved outcomes for ELLs and MLs.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher
  • Valid NYS certification in ESOL (Grades K-12) or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years of successful teaching experience with ELLs and/or in bilingual programs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team on independently across diverse school settings
  • Computer literacy and data analysis skills preferred
  • Travel within the region required: occasional statewide meetings is expected

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
