Job Description

Plant Designs, Inc. is Upstate New York's premiere interior landscaping service company, servicing clients from Buffalo to Albany for over 30 years. Plant Designs, is looking for an individual who has a passion for tropical plants and can provide excellent customer service to a variety of businesses throughout Syracuse. As an Interiorscape Technician, you will drive to each client location on a preset route. Once trained, you are responsible for maintaining clean, healthy and attractive plants, through proper watering, fertilizing, pruning, and dusting. In addition, you are responsible for building strong client relations. This position is three or fours days/week and ranges from approximately 19-21 hrs. The position is worked M-F during business hours. This is a very physical job that requires continuous walking, bending, kneeling and lifting. Plants are watered using hoses, tanks or 2 gallon water buckets, weighing approximately 16 lbs each. Requirements & Responsibilities A friendly, out-going personality, with excellent communication and customer service skills. A professional attitude, and the ability to interact with a variety of clients. A reliable vehicle for transportation between accounts is a must. Horticultural knowledge or experience is preferred, but will train the right person. Candidates must have a strong desire to care for and learn about tropical plants. Detail oriented, mature and responsible individuals, who work well independently.
