Your expertise will help students develop essential life skills, academic knowledge, and social-emotional growth, preparing them for success beyond the classroom. This paid position is ideal for passionate educators committed to making a meaningful difference in students' lives through creative teaching strategies and comprehensive support. Duties Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that integrate curriculum development principles across subjects such as math, literacy education, creative writing, physical education, and library services. Adapt instructional methods to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proven behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, review, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) that set clear goals for each student's academic and social progress. Utilize learning technology tools and standardized testing methods to assess student progress accurately and adjust instruction accordingly. Provide tutoring, mentoring, and academic advising to support students' educational growth and personal development. Maintain detailed documentation of lesson plans, assessments, behavioral interventions, and progress reports Engage in professional development activities related to special education best practices Foster strong communication skills with students, parents, staff, and specialists to ensure a collaborative approach to student success. Experience Proven classroom experience working with children or young adults in special education settings is required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing protocols, and educational administration procedures is essential. Strong proofreading skills combined with excellent writing abilities for creating clear lesson plans, reports, and communication materials aligned with professional standards. Knowledge of learning technology tools used for instruction enhancement and student engagement is preferred.
