Breakthrough Public Schools is seeking to hire an experienced and dedicated educator to serve as a floating English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This teacher will work independently and collaboratively with General Education teachers to provide English Language Development (ELD) services to K-8 English Language Learners across three campuses. The ENL Teacher will ensure that our scholars acquire academic English language proficiency evidenced by growth in speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Individuals in this role will also collaborate with teachers and provide professional development to support ongoing teacher development and growth.RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities of the English as a New Language (ENL) Teacher include, but are not limited to: Provide ELD services to students identified as English Learners across three campuses on a rotating schedule. Instruct students through targeted small groups (pull-out) and in-class support (push-in) to help them achieve their learning and language goals Provide a range of instructional, management, and assessment strategies to meet the different needs of students Actively analyze student achievement and language proficiency data to drive strategic instructional decisions Maintain updated EL data, student specific English Language Plans (ELPs)language plans Collaborate with grade-level teams across content areas to differentiate instruction as needed, assisting teachers to implement strategies in the classroom Manage testing administration for EL identification and language proficiency Support student assessments as a proctor, or exam monitor, including the administration of testing accommodations for district and state testing.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Certification or alternative licensure with evidence of enrollment in a TESOL Endorsement program is required.
