  • Part-time, Full-time The Goddard School in Independence, Ohio is looking for a dependable, flexible, and positive team member to support both our office operations and classrooms.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys working with children, understands the pace of a licensed childcare center, and is also comfortable helping with administrative tasks and family communication. This role is a mix of classroom support, teacher assistance, ratio coverage, light office support, and helping the school day run smoothly. We are looking for someone who can jump in where needed, stay calm in a busy environment, and be a helpful, professional presence for children, families, and staff. Available Schedules We are open to full-time or part-time candidates.
Available shifts may include:
Full-Time:
Monday-Friday, 9:15 a.m
  • 6:15 p.
m.
Part-Time:
Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m
  • 6:15 p.
m. Candidates must be available through closing time, as this role helps support end-of-day classroom coverage and parent pick-up. What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: Supporting classrooms from infants through Pre-K as needed Helping maintain state ratios and safe supervision Assisting teachers with daily routines, transitions, meals, rest time, and activities Providing breaks and coverage for classroom teachers Greeting and assisting families in a warm, professional manner Helping with light office tasks, filing, phone calls, forms, and daily organization Supporting communication between the office, teachers, and families Helping maintain a clean, safe, organized school environment Assisting with special projects, classroom materials, and school events Modeling professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude throughout the day What We're Looking For Qualified candidates must have: At least 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare center A strong understanding of childcare routines, supervision, and safety expectations The ability to work with multiple age groups Dependability and strong attendance Flexibility to support both classrooms and office needs A professional, friendly approach with families and coworkers The ability to stay calm and organized in a busy school environment Willingness to follow Ohio childcare licensing rules and school policies A team-first attitude and the ability to jump in where needed
