Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity this summer, making a meaningful difference in young learners' lives! A special education role is available for a dedicated professional to support pre-school students through an Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position focuses on compensatory services, providing essential instruction and guidance so every child can achieve their potential.
Details:
ESY program (Extended School Year) Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm June 1st through July 2nd Pre-school setting with a focus on compensatory services
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with pre-school or early childhood populations, ideally in a special education setting Knowledge of IEPs and ability to implement individualized instruction strategies Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families, assistants, and support staff Positive, patient, and adaptable with a commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction and support to pre-school students in the ESY program Implement compensatory education services in accordance with students' IEPs Foster a nurturing, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere Track student progress, complete required documentation, and adjust lesson plans as needed Communicate with families and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each child Immerse yourself in a role that offers both professional growth and the satisfaction of making a lasting impact.
