This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a physically active environment, enjoys working with animals, and is looking for a meaningful and rewarding job. As a Canine Care Specialist I, you'll be responsible for the daily care and well-being of the dogs at our facility. This includes feeding, cleaning, enrichment activities, and helping ensure a positive, healthy environment for the dogs to grow and succeed.
SHIFTS:
Schedule:
Morning Shift (7:00 AM - 12:00 PM) OR Afternoon Shift (2:00 or 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Weekend Availability:
Minimum of 2 weekends per month. FULL TIME and
PART TIME
positions are available. Please note that responsibilities are not limited to the duties listed below. The work can be dynamic and varied, depending on the day and the needs of the organization. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality daily care for dogs, ensuring a clean and safe environment Assist with routines such as feeding, walking, grooming, and general kennel maintenance Observe and report dog behavior and wellness Maintain sanitation protocols for all dog housing areas and equipment Support enrichment activities that promote good manners and well-adjusted behavior Help with occasional events, transportation, and community engagement as needed Adapt to new tasks and assist with general operations as requested Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Must live near Milford, Goshen, Loveland, Morrow, Maineville, or Blanchester Ability to perform physical labor, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on your feet Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment Experience with animals is helpful, but not required Must be able to work independently and follow instructions Willing to work a minimum of two weekends per month Must respect and comply with our tobacco-free policy Growth Opportunities Circle Tail values personal and professional growth. Canine Care Specialists who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and initiative may have the opportunity to advance into Canine Care Specialist II and III positions, where increased responsibilities and leadership roles await. Weekend differential is available after 1 month, and benefits of Paid Time Off (PTO) after 3 months of satisfactory employment is offered.
