Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as an Intervention Specialist serving a full-time contract for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is based in a supportive educational environment near Reynoldsburg, OH, where you'll work closely with a diverse student population, focusing on special education services across multiple settings, including resource rooms, small group tutoring, and inclusion models. In this role, you'll help students with a range of abilities reach their full potential by adapting instruction to meet their individual needs and collaborating with staff to create positive learning experiences. You'll become an integral part of a dedicated team committed to fostering growth and success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid, active Ohio certificate/license for Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate) Experience working with students with multiple disabilities in school settings Proficiency supporting students in resource room, small group, and inclusion environments Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff and families Sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction to middle school students based on IEP goals Support students with a range of abilities, ensuring appropriate accommodations and modifications Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and families to promote student success Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state regulations Foster an inclusive classroom culture and adapt teaching strategies to best meet student needs This contract position offers the chance to work a full 37.5-hour week from August 5, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
