As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in designing engaging curricula, managing classroom activities, and supporting the developmental growth of children with diverse needs. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire both students and staff, creating an inclusive space where every child can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, implement innovative teaching strategies, and collaborate with families and colleagues to promote optimal learning experiences. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, speech therapy, and behavioral health strategies. Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring positive behavior management and fostering a safe, inclusive space for children with disabilities, autism, or developmental delays. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized learning goals. Provide mentorship and guidance to assistant teachers and student interns while maintaining high standards of classroom management and childcare practices. Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, or preschool experience to enhance teaching effectiveness. Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavioral reports, and communication logs to ensure transparency with families and compliance with educational standards. Requirements Classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings Strong knowledge of early childhood development Familiarity with curriculum Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external service providers. Lesson Planning Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment for diverse learners.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.50 per hour
