Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of middle school students by bringing your expertise and compassionate approach as an Intervention Specialist to a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contract role offers the opportunity to work closely with students who benefit from exceptional guidance and support during the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid, active Ohio teaching license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate) Experience supporting students with multiple disabilities Proven ability to adapt to resource room, small group, and inclusive classroom environments Comfortable collaborating with colleagues, support staff, and a diverse community of learners Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address student-specific needs and set achievable goals Facilitate instruction in various settings including resource rooms, small groups, and inclusively within general education classrooms Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly Provide academic and behavioral interventions to promote student success Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to create a positive, effective learning environment Maintain accurate records and complete required reporting documentation
